Golf carts stolen, course vandalized

Sometime Tuesday night, several individuals apparently came to the Dixie Golf Course on Hillcrest Drive in Laurel and stole several golf carts from the club houses.

"These individuals then proceeded to destroy these carts, driving one into a pond, doing damage to the golf course itself," said Wilbert Chamberlain, Crimestoppers coordinator.

Anyone with information on the crimes is urged to call Crimestoppers at 601-428-7867 or the Laurel Police Department at 601-425-4711.
