Project Vote Smart visits USM

It is a campaign that encourages voters to do their research before they go to the polls.

Project Vote Smart made a visit to The University of Southern Mississippi Tuesday. The non-profit and non-partisan research library provided students with valuable information.

"We provide information on candidates and officials on every level of government - city, county, state and federal," said Clark Taylor of Project Vote Smart. "We provide information like campaign finance, interest groups, ratings issues, positions, public speeches and statements, voting records, and we provide all this information for free to the public so they can make an informed decisions at the polls."

Organizers say anyone can use project vote smart to find information about political candidates.
