Lumberton woman arrested after threatening emails

A Lumberton woman is in jail after she allegedly sent threatening e-mail and text messages to a North Mississippi man after meeting him on the Internet.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said Sabrina Waltman, 30, is charged with robbery in the case.

He said Waltman and the man met three times for consensual sex last year. After the third meeting, she allegedly threatened the man, saying she wanted $20,000 or she would claim rape.

Johnson said after an investigation Waltman met an undercover officer Tuesday who she thought was the victim's lawyer. It was then she was taken into custody.

A justice court judge set Waltman's bond at $50,000.
