Pioneer Aerospace hosts its annual Black History celebration

Pioneer Aerospace in Columbia hosted its annual Black History Month Celebration Monday.

The theme of the luncheon was "The Best is Yet to Come." Guest speaker, Clinton Martin of Hattiesburg, a retired Tuskegee airman, and an aviation artist whose work is displayed in local and national museums.

"A lot of people are not aware of their contribution to our country," said Unite President Brenda Daniels. "They have done a major thing for our country, and we want our people to know a little bit about it."

Speakers urged everyone at the event to vote in the presidential election.
