A new court date is pending for a Gulfport man indicted on two counts of capital murder in the 2006 slayings of two people.
Mark Alan Henegan's arraignment date has not been set. Henegan will enter a plea during his arraignment, The grand jury indictment was made public Monday.
Prosecutors allege Henegan robbed and beat 61-year-old Delphia Fitts and 77-year-old Anthony Caranna Senior, last November in the Broadmoor area, one of Gulfport's oldest neighborhoods.
Authorities believe Henegan struck both in the head, stole their cars and traded the vehicles for cash to buy crack.
Their bodies were found five days apart. Fitts' body was found first, but authorities believe Caranna was killed first.
