Picayune school receives another bomb threat

Police are trying to determine who made a

bomb threat this past week at Picayune Junior High, the fifth such

threat in the school district this year.

Police Capt. Bryan Dawsey said the latest threat was found at

the junior high on the back of a stall door written in ink.

Assistant Superintendent Brent Harrell said two students

reported the threat and the school was evacuated. No bomb was

found.

Dawsey said several suspects are believed to be involved but no

arrests have been made.

In late September, four bomb threats occurred in one week, three

at the high school and one at the junior high. Suspects, all

juveniles, have been arrested in those incidents.
