Police: Tip leads to meth lab, car chase ends when vehicle hits house

Police say an anonymous tip last week led

officers to a methamphetamine lab, but one man sped away from the

home, leading officers on a chase that ended with a Ford Explorer

crashing into a house.

When agents raided a home on Old Mobile Highway, they discovered

the meth lab and arrested 25-year-old Elizabeth Ann Shepard of


But 29-year-old Christopher Allen Myers allegedly took off in a

Ford Explorer. Police said they chased him to Pascagoula, where he

dumped the vehicle and took off on foot.

He was later caught, but Myers allegedly left the vehicle in

gear when he bailed out and it crashed into the front of a house.

Myers was charged with possession.

Agents said they also stopped Paul Raymond Anthony Jack of

Theodore, Ala., leaving the Orange Grove house and found he had

meth. Myers and Shepard were charged late Thursday with possession

and manufacturing meth. Jack was charged with possession.
