Madison couple charged with exploitation of 4-year-old

A Madison couple has been charged with

taking sexually explicit photos of a 4-year-old child.

Court records show that Sean Hales was indicted by a grand jury

on two counts of child exploitation. His wife, Amiee Hales, was

indicted on one exploitation count.

Authorities said the child, now 5, told a relative in March that

Sean Hales had photographed his genitalia.

Assistant District Attorney Jamie McBride said the two were not

arrested until after the indictment was issued.

Their attorney, Charles Mullins, said Friday that his clients

are not guilty.

According to the indictment, Sean Hales is accused of taking

sexually explicit photos of the child and keeping the images on a

computer at his home in Madison.

His wife is accused of having the photos as well.
