USM student indicted for Web threats

A University of Southern Mississippi student has been indicted on charges of posting threats on the Internet.

Yuri Wainwright, 26, was arrested in April, days after the deadly shootings at Virginia Tech.

Investigators have alleged that Wainwright posted threats through MySpace, a popular web site that allows users to communicate through blog posts, comments, e-mails and instant messages.

District Attorney Jon Mark Weathers says he could not discuss details of the case, but says that a grand jury returned the indictment in August.
