Adventurous, but unlucky squirrel causes half-hour power outage at Southern Miss

Officials say a playful squirrel is

behind a not-so-funny power outage at the University of Southern

Mississippi.

Cindy Duvall, a Mississippi Power spokeswoman say -- quote --

"A little squirrel got into a substation on campus. He played

around on some equipment he shouldn't have.

The squirrel died.

The outage happened yesterday Saturday around 8:30 a.m., forcing

the university to rely on its generators for about 30 minutes.
