Task force studying Miss. justice courts set hearings

Nine public hearings have been scheduled across the state in September and October to discuss Mississippi's justice court system.
A task force will use information gathered at the hearings when it makes a report to the Mississippi Legislature December 1st.
Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Michael Randolph of Hattiesburg is chairman of the task force.
Randolph says the Legislature told the task force to look at duties and services provided by justice court judges, salaries and training, among other things.
The public hearing dates and locations are:

- September 6th, Tupelo.
- September 10th, Senatobia.
- September 11th, Kosciusko.
- September 13th, Natchez.
- September 25th, Jackson.
- October 1st, Gulfport.
- October 2nd, Hattiesburg.
- October 4th, Indianola.
- October 8th, Meridian.
