Warren Co. coroner: remains identified as man missing since mid-1990s

The Warren County Coroner says bones found in Vicksburg National Military Park have been identified as those of a 90-year-old man missing since 1995.

Coroner Doug Huskey has identified the remains as those of James Morgan.

Morgan's remains were found in May in a wooded area when park officials were investigating vandalism and a theft of relics in the area.

Officials just recently confirmed the identity of the remains.

Huskey says Morgan wandered away from his Vicksburg home.

Morgan's granddaughter, Pamela Campbell of Cleveland, said he had developed symptoms of Alzheimer's disease shortly before he disappeared.

Officials say foul play isn't suspected.
