Police alert: uniforms stolen from armored car company

Banks in Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas

have been warned about three items stolen in a recent burglary in

Monroe: uniform shirts for the Loomis Fargo armored car company.

Captain Jimmy Fried is with the Monroe Police Department. He

says that with the uniforms missing, there's the potential for

"all sorts of things to happen."

He says an alert also has gone out to retail outlets.

A gun and electronics, such as a computer and camcorder, also

were taken in the burglary, which was reported Aug. 10.

The shirts are tan with black trim and Loomis Fargo patches.

Bank branches have been told to make sure pickups and deliveries

are by their usual company, at the usual times.
