Guilty plea in FEMA fraud case

A Flora man has pleaded guilty to submitting a false claim to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Hurricane Katrina disaster assistance funds.

Willie C. Blackmon, Jr., provided a false address in Biloxi and received nearly $16,000 in hurricane damage claims. Blackmon will be sentenced October 24th and faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail.
