The AmSouth Bank branch in Jackson has been robbed twice in less than a year.
The latest robbery happened Tuesday morning.
Police say the suspect walked into the bank and showed the tellers a note demanding money.
He walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash and no weapon was displayed.
Police searched the neighborhood to the west of the bank and a nearby abandoned office, but the robber remained at large last night.
On October 11th, the branch was robbed at gunpoint. Three suspects were arrested later that month.
A local bank partnered with a larger regional bank to donate $16,000 to the local non profit R3SM. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas is a lender bank to a Hattiesburg bank called "The First, A National Banking Association" and the funds from this check happened through a grant program for community development initiatives across a five-state region.
