A public viewing is scheduled Friday for Charles Tisdale, the owner and publisher of Mississippi's oldest black-owned newspaper, the Jackson Advocate.
A family spokesman says the public viewing is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the Rose Embly McCoy Auditorium at Jackson State University. Funeral services will be held there at 5:00 p.m on Saturday.
The 80-year-old Tisdale died Saturday. He collapsed while undergoing dialysis.
