The recovery on the Gulf Coast continues with the approval of yet another casino.
The Biloxi Architectural Review Commission and Planning Commission approved the construction of Harrah's Margaritaville Casino. The plans must now receive a green light from the Biloxi City Council.
Once approved, developers can apply for permits and begin construction of the $700 million, 47-acre resort. The project is expected to be completed within three years.
Singer Jimmy Buffett, a Pascagoula native, is one of the resort's backers.
