Arson strikes Hub again

Investigators say arson is the cause of a blaze that left one firefighter hospitalized.

The fire occurred around 3 am Friday at an old warehouse building located near the intersection of North Main and West Fourth streets.

Fire investigators say one firefighter was treated at a local hospital for smoke inhalation. He was later released.

This is the fourth non-residential fire in the downtown area in the last month, all of which were acts of arson.

Investigators say they're not connecting this fire to the others just yet.

The other three fires were at the Old Hattiesburg High School and Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
