Municipalities convention back on coast

Hurricane Katrina moved an annual conference to Tunica last year.  But this week the Mississippi Municipal League is back on the coast with more than 3000 government officials and their family members in attendance.

Seminars for mayors, aldermen and city council members will continue through Thursday.

The conference is designed for officials to talk with experts about the needs and problems of their municipalities and to get solutions.

Governor Haley Barbour will speak during lunch Wednesday.
