Laurel library seeks allies in war on mold

City and county officials plan talks on how to combat a mold takeover at the Laurel-Jones County Library.

Library Director Mary Ann Breland recently made rounds to both county and city board meetings to ask for funds to buy a new heating and air conditioning unit to correct the problem on the second floor of the library.

She says poor air circulation has contributed to the mold infestation. She says the library's books and other collectables could be lost if something isn't done soon.
