State Auditor Phil Bryant was in Laurel today for a South Mississippi campaign kick-off for his run for Lt. Governor. Bryant met with supporters at The Country Fisherman restaurant.
Bryant says voters have been asking him mainly about the issues of education and illegal immigration.
"To see these fine people that come out today on a Saturday, wanting yard signs, talking about how they can volunteer, coming up to me saying we're with you, we're going to vote with you and for you...there's nothing more important than this, it's all about the grass roots," Bryant said.
Bryant will face fellow Republican Charlie Ross in the August primary.
