Grand opening for Collins water park a busy one

Just good clean family fun, that's how waterpark officials describe the new Grand Paradise Waterpark in Collins.

Whether it 's the Blue Typhoon, an enclosed tube that starts three stories high and sends you twisting and turning through total darkness, or the Paradise River, where you grab a tube, relax and float along, thrills and fun are the name of the game.  These are just two of the exciting features of the new Grand Paradise waterpark in Collins.  Other attractions are the Wipeout, Grand Fall, Tropical Splash, and Waddleland for the young ones.

Grand Paradise is the brainchild of Billy Pickering, who realized a need for families to have a place to go for good, clean fun.  Pickering built the $4.5 million dollar park to give people from Covington County and surrounding areas a place to go and enjoy with their families.

The draw for the park goes beyond the thrills and spills, it features a tropical and palm trees...with a comfortable, relaxing setting.

Grand Paradise is open Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from noon to 6pm.
