A woman claims she was assaulted on the Longleaf Trace bicycle and walking trail in Hattiesburg last weekend, police say.
The incident allegedly happened Saturday at about 12:45 p.m. in the tunnel under 7th Street. The victim said a Hispanic male approached her to ask for the time. When she replied that she didn't know, he grabbed her arm and buttocks and attempted to pull her towards him, the woman reported. She screamed and elbowed him in the face, and then fled the scene.
