Another run-in with law for Angela's mom

A woman who has spent over a decade looking for her missing daughter is in trouble with the law for the second time.

Debra Stewart, 49, was arrested Tuesday night by Petal police and charged with simple assault by threat.

Stewart, who now uses her maiden name Freeman, is accused of firing shots into the bedroom of her ex-husband.

In February of 2006, Freeman was arrested for allegedly trying to kill her then-husband by putting rat poison in his medication.

Police say a search warrant of her home found two firearms, which could land her back in jail.

Freeman has been in the news numerous times over the last few years, pushing the search for her 17-year-old daughter Angela Freeman, missing since 1995.
