Two men are in jail in Jones County after allegedly attempting to burglarize a mobile home in broad daylight.
Authorities say Jamal Tyson and Davian Jordan, both of Laurel, were suspiciously wandering around a mobile home on Hinton Road in Jones County when the owner arrived. The two were confronted by the homeowner, and there was an argument. Authorities say the suspects attempted to drive off, but not before the homeowner shot the tires on the vehicle.
"Well, we have the two in custody," says sheriff's investigator Matt Ishee. "We'll be looking at the type charges to be filed, if any right now. We will be getting statements today and figuring out what route to take, then turning this over to the DA's office."
No one was injured during the altercation.
