Guard/Reserve Could Get Tax Exemptions on Money Earned Out-of-State

Members of the Mississippi National Guard and Reserve could get state tax exemptions on money they earn while deployed out of state, under a bill introduced this legislative session.  Representative Hank Zuber of Ocean Springs introduced a similar proposal last year but it died in a committee.  This year, Zuber hopes to garner enough support to pass the bill.  Also a bill introduced by senator Tom King of Petal would prevent the professional licenses of Guard and Reserve members from expiring while they are deployed.
