Hub City plans to stay lit next time

The city of Hattiesburg will soon be ready with emergency power at key facilities, should we ever be hit with another storm like Hurricane Katrina.

On Thursday a 40,000 pound diesel generator was delivered to water plant No. 1, off Highway 42. It's the last of 32 generators bought by the city for the police station, fire stations and other important city buildings.

It's a $4 million project involving the city, Mississippi Power, and Chain Electric.
