Killer crossing to be safer in few weeks

Railroad workers were back on the job Wednesday in Eastabuchie getting a dangerous crossing ready for automatic crossing gates and lights.

Norfolk Southern officials say the safety equipment should be up in about a month.

The crossing has been the scene of several deadly collisions between cars and trains over the past eight years, including two just recently.

Officials say work actually began a couple of weeks ago but was suspended when the work crew was involved in a traffic accident.
