JCJC's new technology center boots up

After six years of preparation and building, a crown jewel of the Howard Technology Park and Jones County Junior College is complete.

The Advanced Technology Center showcases workspace for information technology, applied manufacturing and agriculture science.

The $6 million center includes an industrial lab, a 288-seat auditorium and a small business development center.

The tech center is dedicated to former JCJC President Ronald Whitehead, who calls it "a humbling experience."

State Rep. Bobby Shows of Ellisville is also honored, with an exhibition hall dedicated in his name.
