Hundreds share Thanksgiving bounty

For the 20th year Christian Services provided Thanksgiving dinner to the Hattiesburg community on Tuesday, serving a record 1,700 meals.

Eighty-five turkeys went fast as 250 volunteers worked hard to distribute them.

Diners and volunteers enjoyed the holiday atmosphere with the help of music. In this cool weather many people lined up to enjoy a meal full of traditional Thanksgiving fare.

"We're excited about both the people coming in and the meals going out," says Christian Services founder Bill Prout.

Twenty years ago Christian Services served about 150 meals.
