Lamar County to Host First-Ever Firefighters Fair and Festival

Lamar County officials are preparing the county's multi-purpose facility for a first-ever, family-fun event to help local firefighters.

It's the innaugual edition of the Volunteer Firefighters Festival and Fair and it will take place at the fairgrounds in Purvis in two weeks.

Like all traditional fairs, it will feature a midway, live entertainment, a livestock show and other activities.

And proceeds will go towards helping the county's various fire departments.

The dates for the fair are November 16th, 17th and 18th.
