COPY-Marion man accused in Cali bank holdup

A 41-year-old Foxworth man has been turned over to U.S. marshals to face bank robbery charges in California.

Lorenzo Arnell Thomas was being sought by Marion County authorities for credit card fraud. During the investigation, local authorities found out Thomas was wanted in California for bank robbery. In addition, the marshals had a warrant for his arrest for violation of his probation on another bank robbery charge.

Marion County deputies say when they approached the suspect, Thomas pulled a gun on officers, but he was subdued before any shots could be fired.

Thomas is in the custody of U.S. marshals awaiting extradition to California.
