The Stone County Sheriff's Department is looking for an escaped inmate who walked off a work detail earlier this evening.
They say 33-year-old Jim C. Heckman was a trustee on a work detail and was reported missing about 5:30 p.m.
He was being held in jail on two counts of false pretense.
Sheriff's officials say Heckman has family in Brandon and he may be headed north.
They say he is not considered dangerous.
