Laurel Citizens March Against Drugs

A Laurel chapter of a national sorority is taking a stand, or more correctly, a march, against drugs in the community.   The Laurel Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sponsored a Red Ribbon Walk-a-Thon through different parts of East Laurel.  Groups carrying anti-drug signs left three different locations in the city and met at St. Elmo Baptist Church, where an anti-drug rally was held.  Ward One city councilwoman Willie Evans coordinated the march.
