Dozens of girls from across Mississippi were in Hattiesburg today, getting tips on choosing careers in fields such as education, law, sports and the arts.
It was all part of an annual, event called, Career Explorations for Girls Conference on the University of Southern Mississippi campus.
It was co-hosted by a The Frances A. Karnes Center for Gifted Studies at U.S.M. and Forrest General Hospital's Spirit of Women.
About one hundred girls and mothers or grandmothers attended...and they learned first-hand about careers from educators, attorneys and businesswomen.
This was the third year for the conference.
