Laurel Police are looking for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery of a restaurant Saturday night.
Officers believe 42-year-old Tyron Laster robbed the Western Sizzlin on North 16th Avenue at gunpoint around 10:30 p.m.
They say he went into the restaurant, approached the manager and allegedly used a small caliber handgun to take cash.
He left the scene in a car.
No one was injured.
Investigators say an employee recognized Laster.
"One of the employees at Western Sizzlin believed that they knew him and through the photo lineup and prior knowledge of this individual, he was identified," said Laurel Police Detective Byron Craft.
"If anyone sees this individual, I advise them to use extreme caution, and notify the local authorities and let them deal with this individual," Craft said.
Detective Craft says Laster was wearing a gray ball cap, gray t-shirt and dark-colored jeans at the time of the robbery.
If you have any information about the crime, call Laurel Police.
