Police Block Traffic After Bomb Scare at Convenience Store

A portion of South 40th Avenue in Hattiesburg was closed for almost an hour tonight after a bomb threat at a local convenience store.  Police say an unknown male suspect telephoned employees at a Texaco Station at 4100 Hardy Street around 8 o'clock and claimed there was a bomb inside the store.  A block of South 40th Avenue was closed to traffic while officers investigated.  Nothing was found and police opened the road after about 45 minutes.
