Heart attack claims accused killer's life

A Marion County man in jail awaiting trial on murder charges for allegedly killing his twin brother has died.

Authorities say 47-year-old Larry Davis died at the Marion County hospital, a day after he suffered an apparent heart attack in the cell he shared with three other prisoners at the Marion-Walthall Correctional Facility.

Davis had been behind bars since his August 2005 arrest in connection with the stabbing death of his brother, Gary.

Davis' body has been sent to Jackson for an autopsy but authorities say preliminary indications are the inmate died of a heart attack.
