JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Jones County judge denied bond for a Laurel man accused of holding a woman at gunpoint while she held their child.

Woman with child in arms held at gunpoint

Cory Lyles, 34, was denied bond by Jones County Justice Court Judge Billie Graham after being charged with domestic aggravated assault on Monday. His bond for a previous marijuana charge was also revoked.

Lyles was arrested Monday after a woman claimed she and Lyles got into an argument when she went to his home to pick up their child on July 22. She told deputies Lyles held a gun to her side as she was holding their child and trying to leave the home, according to the sheriff's department.
