Two more local college players drafted

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Southern Miss had two players (pitcher Nick Sandlin and third baseman Luke Reynolds) get drafted through the first two days of the Major League Baseball draft. On Wednesday, the final day of the draft, William Carey and Jones County Junior College got some shine.

Crusader pitcher Hunter Speer was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 25th round while Bobcat pitcher Will Freeman was picked up by the San Diego Padres in the 36th round.
