HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Organizations in Hattiesburg will be coming together to host a Summer Job Fair at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center Thursday, June 7th at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will be hosted by Hattiesburg Councilmen Nick Brown and Jeffrey George. Organizations involved include the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, Hattiesburg Management Group, and the Area Development Partnership (ADP).

Brown says several of the employers will be doing on-site interviews and will be hiring on the spot.

"Just practice how to present yourself," says Brown. "Make sure you're well groomed. Make sure your ties are appropriate and if possible bring a resume. You can go to the local library here and they'll help you fill it out and put it together. Come and be ready to get a job."

Brown says they are expecting over 20 jobs including Forrest General Hospital, Ed's Burgers, Hattiesburg Public School District and several others.

He says early arrival is suggested. Parking will be available at the Jackie Dole Community Center, across from the VFW and also the parking lot across from Trustmark Bank downtown.
