Man charged with several commercial burglaries in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police arrested a man wanted for multiple commercial burglaries Thursday.

HPD spokesman Ryan Moore said Robert Donaldson Jr., 32, was arrested during a commercial burglary at 1851 Lincoln Road after officers responded to an alarm call around 2:30 a.m. Donaldson had active warrants for previous commercial burglaries in the city and will face charges on the following:

  • 1508 Hardy Street, Hardy Street Baptist Church, for commercial burglary.
  • 2010 West Pine Street, Dandy Dan’s, for felony malicious mischief.
  • 2617 Lincoln Road, AWA African Hair Braiding, for commercial burglary.
  • 2702 Lincoln Road, First Bank, for commercial burglary.
  • 2702 Lincoln Road, First Bank, for commercial burglary.
  • 1851 Lincoln Road, Mingledorff’s, for commercial burglary.
  • 1920 Broadway Drive, Lil Car Wash, for felony malicious mischief.
  • 1920 Broadway Drive, Lil Car Wash, for felony malicious mischief.
  • 107 S. 17th Avenue, Hattiesburg Zoo concession stand, for commercial burglary.
  • 2627 Lincoln Road, Boost Mobile, for two commercial burglaries

Moore said additional counts of commercial burglary could be added and the investigation is ongoing. Donaldson is currently being held in the Forrest County Jail.
