JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Jones County Junior College softball team was determined to change it's national tournament narrative this year. The Lady Bobcats failed to claim championship glory in their previous five attempts.

This all changed Saturday with a convincing 18-2 win over Phoenix College, winning the NJCAA Division II title.

The Lady Bobcats end an amazing run at 54-3 (winning 21 straight games). Their performance this week in Clinton was nothing short of dominate, outscoring opponents 69-21.
