Operation Shark Tank nets 43 felony arrests in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Several law enforcement agencies took to the streets of Hattiesburg from April 26 to May 4 to carry out an operation that ended with 43 felony arrests.

The crime sweep was dubbed Operation Shark Tank.

In addition to 43 arrests, state, federal and local law enforcement agencies also seized 14 guns and several forms of illegal drugs, according to Hattiesburg police.

Listed below are the suspects arrested and their charges: 

  • Kimberly Adcock, 42, possession of a weapon by convicted felon
  • Deontrae Barnes, 19, possession of a stolen weapon
  • Byron Barnes, 33, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
  • Derrick Benoit, 23, receiving stolen property (warrant)
  • Carl Blackstone, 60, probation violation
  • Lester Brown, 48, probation violation
  • Ashley Cameron, 37, probation violation
  • Warren Clinton, 44, probation violation
  • Christopher Dobson, 40, possession of a controlled substance (meth)
  • Andrew Ducksworth, 51, possession of marijuana
  • Nikarra Duncan, 41, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
  • Gerald Fairley, 42, probation violation
  • Jonah Garraway, 29, probation violation
  • Daryl Glenn, 39, possession of marijuana
  • Adam Hall, 23, possession of a controlled substance (meth)
  • Felicia Hall, 47, possession of a controlled substance
  • Isaiah Jackson, 26, simple assault (warrant)
  • Floyd Keys, 52, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct
  • Howard Lewis, 62, possession of stolen weapon
  • Jerry Little, 60, possession of a controlled substance (warrant)
  • Lorenza Luvene, 33, receiving stolen property
  • Melvin McClendon, 56, possession of a controlled substance (meth)
  • Vontarius Moncree, 28, possession of a controlled substance (x6) (meth)
  • Aleisha Morgan, 33, possession of controlled substance (warrant)
  • Freddie Nelson Jr., 24, possession of a controlled substance
  • Michael Norman, 39, conspiracy to sell controlled substance
  • Christopher Roberts, 37, conspiracy to sell controlled substance (2), probation violation
  • Angela Rodgers, 56, possession of a controlled substance (meth)
  • Candace Saba, 35, possession of paraphernalia, disorderly conduct
  • Antonio Smith, 23, probation violation
  • Sabrina Sullivan, 39, forgery/uttering
  • Marquell Swilley, 23, possession of a controlled substance with enhanced penalty for weapon
  • Tabarkus Mark, 18, possession of stolen weapon, possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Christopher Thompson, 35, probation violation
  • Tyland Walker, 21, court order warrant
  • Michael Walters, 31, probation violation
  • Cheyenna Witt, 21, aggravated domestic violence
  • David Housley, 26, probation violation
  • Vincent Sandifer, 18, possession of a stolen weapon, fugitive other jurisdiction
  • Adrian Barnes, 19, possession of a stolen weapon
  • Dalvin Taylor, 20, possession of a stolen weapon, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon
  • Courtney Mason, 26, possession of a stolen weapon, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon
  • Shaquille Minor, 22, probation violation

Operation Shark Tank was led by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with help from HPD, the Forrest County Sheriff’s Department, Metro Narcotics, the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration and other federal agencies.

The experience was, to say the least, unsettling. “It was kind of hard,” said Magee, who is known by his nickname, “Fi Fi,” which for some reason lost in time, is spelled “Fa Fa.”
