LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

Laurel police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after a man robbed a gas station early Friday morning.

A man with a handgun entered the Exxon at 3705 Highway 15 North around 2:22 a.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a Laurel Police Department press release. Police described the suspect as a white man wearing a gray jumpsuit and mask. 

The suspect left on foot and there were no injuries reported, according to police.

    There is a heat advisory for two counties in the WDAM viewing area. They are Simpson and Lawrence counties. The advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday.
