NEW AUGUSTA, MS (WDAM) - Perry Central continues its record-breaking season on Thursday when the Bulldogs (22-7) play in the school's first South State finals.
Third-year head coach Josh Anderson and company face Madison St. Joseph in a best-of-three game series.
"It feels great," Anderson said. "At the beginning of the year, we had high expectations to get this far. I think it's really set in here in the last couple of weeks, especially for everybody including myself. It's been real fun. We're playing well right now and I just hope we keep doing it."
"It's great, it's real great," said Perry Central junior Kevin Lindsey. "Perry Central's never made it this far in the playoffs so we're making history. It's great."
"Just come out here, work hard, do what we know how to do," said Perry Central junior Derrick Hartfield. "Play Perry Central baseball."
