HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The lineup for the 4th annual FestivalSouth Film Expo has been announced. All showings will take place at The Grand 18 Theaters in Hattiesburg. 

This year, 30 features and short films will be screened during the event, which runs from June 17 to June 23. 

Eighteen of the films are narrative shorts. Also included are three narrative features and four documentaries. Nineteen of the films were shot in Mississippi and two are from Canada. 

This year, the festival focuses on Mississippi's literary legacy in film.

    The City of Hattiesburg is urging motorists to use caution Thursday morning in various areas of the city due to utility work. Pearl River Valley Electric began work on switching out a transformer at 6 a.m.  So, traffic lights at US 98 and Hwy 11, US 98 and Lake Forgetful and US 98 and Cross Creek Parkway are expected to experience some downtime .  The Hattiesburg Police Department will be directing traffic in those areas to offer support in the event downtime does occur.&n...More >>
