LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Nearly eight thousand people were expected to visit Laurel's Mason Park Saturday for the Laurel Arts League's annual Day in the Park.
The event raised money to support various arts initiatives and scholarships.
More than 50 vendors were on hand, selling hand-made arts and crafts and different foods.
"We also help the support the local art departments, high school art departments, so it's a really great way to support the arts," said Jade Yoder, chairperson for the Day in the Park.
It was the 46th year for the event.
