NEW AUGUSTA, MS (WDAM) - From the basketball court to the football field, De'Lance was a talented athlete at Perry Central – but it takes more than talent to make it to the NFL.
All of Turner's hard work paid off on Sunday when he signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
"It's rare you know, it's hard to believe actually," said Turner, who rushed for 1,357 yards last season at Alcorn State. "Some kids don't even think it's possible but just stay focused and keep grinding and eventually it's going to happen. Stay patient and it's going to happen. [I've] been playing since I was little and to reach my dreams, to actually make it this far – I'm not satisfied because I could be cut just like that because I'm really just a free agent. I'm trying to go in and just ball out and just take over."
