Ellisville woman charged with aggravated assault after shooting

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Ellisville police arrested arrested a woman after she allegedly fired six shots at two men in a park.

Police responded to Dubose Park on Saturday, April 28, after reports of shots fired. Officers found Tonya Thrailkill, 35, standing by her vehicle, which was stuck in a ditch, according to an Ellisville Police Department press release.

Witnesses told police that Thrailkill pulled up to the park and drove her vehicle in the ditch before getting out and firing two shots in the direction of two men, according to the release. Police said she fired four more shots at the men as they ran away.

Thrailkill was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon. Her bond was set at $7,500.
